Involved With Ministries at Lincoln Park Baptist
Lincoln Park Baptist is "Where
You Belong" if you're seeking opportunities to
learn, grow and serve our risen Savior.
Bible
Study for All Ages
Sunday morning classes in small groups for all ages
from 9:30 to 10:30.
Our goal is to apply the infallible
Word of God to the struggles of everyday life. Greeters
will meet you and show you to a class just for you and
every member of your family, including nursery, preschool,
children, youth and young single adults.
Sharing
Love with Lincoln Park (SLLP)
This is a community outreach ministry of Lincoln Park
Baptist that works in three areas: 1) Prayer Outreach--Praying
for the lost and unchurched in venues such as prayer
walking and neighborhood prayer meetings; 2) Friendship
Outreach--Doing acts of kindness in the neighborhood
as a way to get acquainted with people and to create
an open door to share the gospel; 3) Direct Evangelism/Outreach--Training
is provided that teaches how to share Christ one-on-one
with those who have been prayed for and cultivated through
acts of kindness.
Senior
Adults
Our Golden Age Club is a fun-loving group that meets
monthly for an informative or inspiring message and
meal, as well as other activities throughout the year.
Youth
Young people need to learn and grow spiritually. They
also need to just have fun! Our Family Life Center allows
us to reach out to youth in a unique way. Under the
direction of Donnie Douglas,
our Minister of Students and Activities, the Family
Life Center opens each Tuesday at 5:30 P.M. for fun
and fellowship. On Wednesday, youth gather for basketball
and other activities at 6:30, followed by Bible study
and prayer. Other activities and retreats keep our youth
fully engaged as they learn about the Savior who loves
them.
Music
Music is an important part of worship at Lincoln Park
Baptist, where we sing to the glory of God. Lyrics are
projected on large screens to assist in worship. The music
ministry is directed by Chris
McDonald . Our adult choir helps the congregation
focus on the message found in the old-time hymns, gospel
songs and contemporary praise music. A music program for
children is also offered.
Missions
In recent years, Lincoln Park Baptist has sent its members
to serve in short-term missions projects in Kentucky,
Mississippi, Guatemala and Russia. A team is currently
preparing to serve in Guatemala during the summer of
2008.
We're also involved in local
benevolent work, such as our food pantry ministry. We
cooperate with and give to support missionaries here
in Knox County, throughout Tennessee, the entire U.S.,
and around the world through the Southern Baptist Convention.
